Q: How far in advance do I need to place my order?
A: The sooner the better! We require a minimum of two weeks advance notice for most orders. If there is an opening in the schedule, rush orders can be accommodated with a minimum of 72 hours notice and a rush fee of $25. For wedding cakes, we recommend contacting us at least 3 months in advance to secure your preferred date. Any order over $200 requires a minimum of 50% deposit to secure the order date.
Q: How do I place an order? If I send you a message on Instagram/Facebook/the website will that secure my date/order?
A: To place an order, you must submit one of our order inquiry forms (there is one for general orders and one for wedding cakes). After you submit this form we will contact you to finalize details and provide you with a quote for your cake/treat. Contacting us via Instagram/Facebook/the website does not constitute placing an order and will not secure your date!
Q: How much are your cakes?
A: Each cake is different and pricing is based on the size of the cake, the complexity of design, and the number of flavors and fillings. Please visit our Flavors & Pricing page for starting prices. In general, our smallest & simplest cakes start at $55. There is a minimum of $400 for wedding cake orders. Upon submission of an order inquiry form we will contact you to provide a quote for your cake/treat.
Q: Can I order something other than a cake?
A: Yes! Sweets Bakehouse offers a variety of scratch-baked treats and custom goodies to celebrate any special occasion such as cupcakes, brownies, cookies (customizable, too!), macarons, and many other delicious desserts. We also offer seasonal items- make sure you follow us on Instagram for updates!
Q: Can I order a vegan, gluten-free, or dairy-free treat?
A: Yes! We proudly offer many allergy friendly goodies and strive to work within dietary restrictions. Please note that if you order a gluten-free, vegan, or dairy-free treat or cake from us, these items are made in a kitchen where allergens are present so it may contain traces. Please let us know when you submit an order inquiry form what your needs are, and we will do our best to help!
Q: Can I pay for my cake/order upon delivery?
A: No. All invoices for orders must be paid in full prior to delivery or pickup.
Q: Do you deliver? Is there a delivery fee?
A: Yes! We offer delivery in Bradenton, Sarasota, and the Palmetto area. Delivery for orders on the Suncoast and beyond are available for a small fee.
Q: Can I pick my cake up from you when it is ready?
A: Yes—please arrange for you pickup when you pay your invoice.
Q: Do you offer tastings for wedding cake orders?
A: Yes, we do offer tastings for wedding cake orders for $25, which includes 3 flavors of cake and 3 fillings along with our classic buttercream frosting. Tastings usually last 30-40 minutes and can accommodate a maximum of 4 people.

These Terms and Conditions serve as a contract between the customer and Sweets Bakehouse.
By submitting payment, the customer is in agreement to these terms in full.

Full Terms and Conditions
PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS
To secure your order with Sweets Bakehouse, we require a non-refundable booking deposit of 50% of your total wedding order, with the remainder due 4 weeks prior to delivery. For celebration cakes and all other products we require a 50% booking deposit, with the remainder due 1 week prior to pickup or delivery.
Your date is not secured and your order is not confirmed until we have received the booking deposit. Payments can be made via Square or Venmo.
All quotations will be sent via e-mail and are valid for 7 days from date of issue. We reserve the right to revise prices after this period.
For cancellations of wedding orders with less than 4 weeks notice, full booking amount (including deposit) is forfeited. For celebration cakes and all other orders with a cancellation less than 1 weeks notice, full booking amount (including deposit) is forfeited. We do not offer refunds of any kind. Store credit is at the discretion of ownership.
PICK UP / DELIVERY
We are happy to deliver your cake for an additional fee. Sweets Bakehouse is not responsible for any damage to the cake after pick up or after satisfactory delivery and set up at which point the client assumes full responsibility for the condition of the items. Sweets is not responsible for any damages to the item(s) caused by a guest, caterer, event staff, or any other person not employed by Sweets Bakehouse.
Outdoor Delivery Disclaimer: Client understands that Sweets Bakehouse is not responsible for the condition of products following outdoor setup. Due to the effects of outdoor weather conditions, table on unlevel ground, wind blowing undesirable atmospheric items (e.g., dirt, leaves, or branches), sunlight, insects and other wildlife, it is understood that products such as icings, fillings, cake decorations, etc, may not hold up and cannot be insured past satisfactory delivery.
DECOR AND NONEDIBLE ITEMS
Client assumes full responsibility for making sure all nonedible cake décor, including but not limited to, cake toppers, fresh flowers and floral tape, cardboard cake boards, structural wooden dowels, etc. are removed before cutting and serving.
*All items should be non-toxic and food safe for application on an edible item.
All rental items belong to Sweets Bakehouse are are not to be defaced, tampered with or changed. All rental items are your responsibility until they are returned back to Sweets Bakehouse. If any rental items are broken, lost or damaged the client is responsible for the replacement of said items. If item cannot be replaced like for like a replacement invoice will be sent to the client which will need to be paid upon receipt. Unless stated otherwise all rental items must be returned within 3 days of hire.
Sweets Bakehouse will make every effort to provide exact conditions such as flavor, filling, decoration, size, color, shape, and design discussed during consultations and email discussions.
Creation of the items is an art form and therefore may be subject to variation. Exact color matching is not guaranteed. No refunds or credits will be issued due to design elements that the customer may consider unsatisfactory including, but not limited to, style, decorations, color, size, misinterpretation of design concept, distaste for flavor, or failure to order correct flavors. In order to maintain stability and the integrity of your cake, Sweets Bakehouse reserves the right to make design and structural changes to the Item(s) on site or off, without prior notification. Images of items created by another bakery may be provided for reference or inspiration however they will not be duplicated an exact copy of another artist’s work.
DISCLAIMER: By paying for this cake you agree that certain creative changes may be made to your final design for the sake of stability, structural integrity or other certain emergencies.
Equipment may come in contact with allergens including, but not limited to, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, fruits, and soy. While every precaution will be taken in the cases of known allergies, it remains the full responsibility of the client to inform guests of possible allergens. Sweets Bakehouse will not be held responsible for any allergic reactions.
A list of ingredients may be provided, if desired.
Sweets Bakehouse reserves the right to use any photographs of the finished cake for promotion without compensation.
Sweets Bakehouse promises a product of high quality and service, but is not liable for unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to inclement weather, transportation problems, illness, accidents, labor disputes or strikes, Acts of God, and other causes beyond reasonable control. A delay in transit shall not constitute grounds for a discount or refund.
